Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai has directed officials to speed up the remaining construction work at the Patra Dhobi Ghat and ensure that all works are completed with quality standards.
The Mayor issued the directions during an inspection of the ongoing development and beautification works at the Dhobi Ghat in Barkhedi Patra on Monday.
Reviewing the project, Rai instructed officials to complete the remaining works at the earliest so that beneficiaries can use the upgraded facilities without inconvenience. She stressed that construction quality should not be compromised.
Officials informed the Mayor that the project includes washing platforms, sheds, clothes drying stands and two halls for washermen. Development and beautification works are also being carried out in the surrounding area.
“The remaining works should be completed quickly without compromising quality.”
The Mayor reviewed the progress of the project and sought details of the ongoing works. She said the upgraded infrastructure would help users carry out their daily work in a more organised and convenient manner.
Executive Engineer Anil Tatwade, former councillor Dinesh Yadav and other officials were present during the inspection.
