Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has said the state will launch the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from Sept 17 to Oct 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and highlight his 25 years in public life.
According to the state government, the campaign will focus on public service, welfare schemes, development initiatives and citizen participation. Yadav said the campaign should also incorporate activities being conducted under the ongoing ‘Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’.
The chief minister directed officials to prepare district-wise programmes and ensure that development booklets highlighting achievements in each district reach the public. He also asked ministers to regularly review the campaign in their respective departments and districts.
The campaign will include 13 major programmes, including Aashirwad Ka Diya, 25 Crore Bachchon Ke Sapnon Ka Bharat, Namo Seva Gatha, Aangan Ka Utsav, Kahani Badlav Ki, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Seva Jyoti Yatra, Vadnagar Se Varanasi, Seva Mera Yogdan, Seva Setu Abhiyan – Sarkar Aapke Dwar, Rangoli Rashtra, National Innovation Challenge and Jansevak Mahakumbh – Panchayat Se Parliament Tak.
On Sept 17, a large-scale lamp-lighting programme is planned at Mahakal Lok in Ujjain. Events will also be organised at locations associated with major projects inaugurated or launched by Modi in the state.
The campaign will promote activities such as blood donation, tree plantation, cleanliness drives, health camps, road safety awareness, digital literacy and cyber-security awareness.
The Jansevak Mahakumbh – Panchayat Se Parliament Tak is scheduled for Oct 17. According to the government, elected representatives from across the country will participate in the programme, which will also feature a video presentation on Modi’s 25 years of public service and a collective pledge for a developed India.
