Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has confirmed that he will marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5 in a private ceremony at his Mumbai home.
Speaking to reporters at the screening of Pritam and Pedro, Khan said the wedding would be attended only by close family members and a small group of friends.
“Yes, I am getting married on July 5. It will be a very small wedding at home with both our families. It is a very special day for us. We seek everyone’s prayers and blessings and hope our journey together is a happy one,” he said.
According to media reports, the couple will register their marriage during the intimate ceremony. Khan had earlier said they wanted to keep the event simple, with only immediate family and close friends present.
Media reports also said the wedding menu has been planned by the couple’s children, who are expected to take an active role in the celebrations.
Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. He later married Kiran Rao, and they have a son, Azad Rao Khan. Spratt, who is originally from Bengaluru, has a background in fashion and entrepreneurship and is associated with Aamir Khan Productions. She also has a son from a previous marriage.
