Kangana Ranaut Defends Ranveer Singh Amid Don 3 Dispute, Says Success Often Attracts More Rivals

Actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut has come out in support of Ranveer Singh amid the controversy surrounding his reported exit from Don 3 and the subsequent non-cooperation directive issued by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees.

Speaking at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film, Kangana said professional setbacks and opposition are common for individuals who achieve success in their careers. Responding to questions about the action taken against Ranveer Singh, she remarked that she too had faced resistance from various quarters in the industry but continued to move forward.

Kangana said that increasing prominence often leads to greater criticism and opposition. According to her, the attention surrounding the current dispute reflects Ranveer Singh’s standing within the industry rather than diminishing it.

Drawing from her own experiences, the actor stated that challenges are an inevitable part of professional growth. She added that despite facing several controversies and obstacles over the years, she has continued to work successfully and believes such situations tend to resolve themselves over time.

The controversy emerged after reports that Ranveer Singh had decided to step away from Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated film Don 3. Following a complaint from producers, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor on 25 May.

The federation has alleged that the decision disrupted the film’s production schedule and resulted in financial losses estimated at around Rs 45 crore. While the directive does not amount to a legal ban, industry observers note that it could create logistical challenges during future productions by affecting the availability of workers and support services associated with the federation.

Neither Ranveer Singh nor the makers of Don 3 have issued a detailed public statement addressing the latest developments. The dispute continues to draw attention across the film industry as stakeholders await further clarity on the project’s future.
