NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 examination results for 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 85.20%.
Around 17,80,365 students registered for the examination, of whom 17,68,968 appeared. A total of 15,07,109 students cleared the exam.
The pass percentage has declined from 88.39% in 2025, marking a drop of 3.19 percentage points year-on-year.
Girls outperformed boys by 6.73 percentage points, continuing a consistent trend of higher performance among female candidates.
Among regions, Trivandrum recorded the highest pass percentage at 95.62%, while Prayagraj reported the lowest at 72.43%.
A student, Tanu Singh, also stood out for her strong performance in the Class 12 examination. She reportedly studied while staying away from her parents and worked hard to secure good marks, bringing pride to her family.
Students can access their results on the official CBSE websites, including cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in, as well as on DigiLocker and UMANG platforms.
To download the marksheet, candidates must enter their roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth and security pin on the result portal.
