MUMBAI: Rajasthan Royals secured a place in the IPL 2026 playoffs with a 30-run victory over Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted 205 for 8 in 20 overs, with late contributions from Jofra Archer, who scored 32 off 15 balls, Dhruv Jurel (38) and Dasun Shanaka (28).
Mumbai Indians made a poor start to the chase after Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck in the opening over by Archer. The hosts struggled to recover from early setbacks and finished on 175 for 9 in 20 overs.
Archer delivered an all-round performance, taking three wickets after his late cameo with the bat, and was named Player of the Match.
The victory confirmed Rajasthan Royals’ place in the playoffs and ended the qualification hopes of Mumbai Indians.
