Indore: The Lokayukta Police on Friday arrested a government school principal for allegedly accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe to settle a complaint related to a private school.
The accused, Rajkumar Chelani, is principal and nodal officer at Government Higher Secondary School Boys No. 1, Sanyogitaganj.
According to the complaint, Chelani allegedly demanded money in exchange for resolving a complaint lodged against a private school.
After verifying the allegations, the Lokayukta team laid a trap on Friday at the school premises, where Chelani was allegedly caught accepting the cash.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
