Collector Announces Welfare Camps from June 12

BHOPAL: Special welfare camps will be organised across Bhopal district from June 12 to 18 to enrol eligible residents in government welfare schemes and address pending public grievances, district officials said on Monday.

The decision was announced during a weekly review meeting chaired by Collector Priyank Mishra, who said ensuring that government benefits reach every eligible citizen and that public complaints are resolved promptly remains the administration’s top priority.

The ward-level camps will be held across all development blocks and urban local bodies. Officials have been directed to identify and register eligible beneficiaries under schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Vay Vandana, PM Surya Ghar, PM SVANidhi and Lakhpati Didi.

Authorities will also review and attempt to resolve pending cases related to the Chief Minister’s Helpline and public service guarantee programmes during the camps.

During the meeting, officials reviewed unresolved public complaints and were instructed to improve response times and reduce unnecessary transfers of cases between departments.

The administration also directed departments to conduct awareness campaigns for admissions to Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for the 2026-27 academic session. Officials were asked to promote the use of QR-code-based information systems to help students access information on available courses and career opportunities.

The meeting emphasised wider public awareness of the government’s HARSH digital platform, which aims to assess citizens’ needs and connect them with suitable welfare schemes.

Ahead of the monsoon season, officials were instructed to strengthen safety measures at closed mining sites, including fencing, warning signage and plantation activities. Authorities were also directed to review safety arrangements at vulnerable locations, including dams and reservoirs, and ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.

The administration further directed departments to expedite medical assistance cases under the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, complete pre-monsoon inspections of school buildings and carry out any necessary repair work.

Officials were also instructed to prioritise cases involving serving and former armed forces personnel and their families, ensuring timely resolution through coordination with relevant welfare agencies.
