How Bhopal Police Saved a Man’s Life Minutes After He Collapsed

Bhopal: The quick response of Bhopal Police helped save the life of a man who collapsed after a suspected heart attack at the Police Commissioner Office on Monday.

Devendra Saxena suddenly fell unconscious inside the office premises, prompting police personnel on duty to rush to his aid. Officers assessed the situation and suspected that he was suffering a cardiac emergency.

Constables Mukesh Sahu and Ranjeet Raghuvanshi immediately started cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They continued the life-saving procedure for several minutes to restore his breathing and heartbeat.

Their efforts showed results within minutes as Saxena’s condition began to improve. Police personnel then arranged urgent medical assistance to ensure he received further treatment without delay.

Reserve Inspector Jaisingh Tomar transported Saxena to Anant Hospital in his vehicle. Doctors began treatment soon after his arrival.

According to doctors, the timely CPR and quick transfer to hospital were critical in stabilising the patient and improving his chances of recovery.

The incident underlines the importance of CPR training and early intervention during medical emergencies. It also highlights the role police personnel can play as first responders when lives are at risk.
