NEET-UG 2026 preparations reviewed in Bhopal

BHOPAL: Preparations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2026, scheduled to be held on June 21, were reviewed at a meeting chaired by Collector Priyank Mishra on Thursday.

Officials from the administration, police, health, transport and examination departments attended the meeting, where directions were issued to ensure adequate security, traffic management, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply and medical facilities at all 32 examination centres in the district.

A two-tier security arrangement has been put in place, including sufficient police deployment, separate frisking facilities for female candidates and measures for crowd management. Authorities were also directed to strictly follow protocols for the transportation and handling of question papers and other examination materials.

The administration has been asked to ensure the availability of generators, clean drinking water, ORS packets, first-aid kits, medical teams, hygienic toilets and cloakroom facilities at all centres. Arrangements for parents and guardians, including seating and drinking water facilities outside examination venues, were also reviewed.

Officials were instructed to work in coordination to ensure the examination is conducted in a fair, transparent and orderly manner without causing inconvenience to candidates.

Candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres well before the reporting time to avoid last-minute difficulties.
