BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has revised the schedule for the State Service Main Examination 2025 after candidates raised concerns over a clash with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Main Examination.
Under the revised timetable, the examination will now be held from Aug. 8 to Aug. 13, 2026, instead of the previously announced dates of Aug. 17-22. The change comes after candidates pointed out that the final two MPPSC papers coincided with the UPSC Main Examination, which is scheduled to begin on Aug. 21.
The Commission decided to advance the examination dates to ensure that candidates appearing for both examinations can do so without scheduling conflicts.
Applications for the Main Examination will be accepted online from June 25 to July 15. Candidates who cleared the preliminary examination must submit fresh applications to be eligible for the next stage.
A correction window will remain open from June 30 to July 17, allowing applicants to rectify errors in their forms on payment of the prescribed fee. Admit cards will be made available online from Aug. 3.
The recruitment process aims to fill 158 vacancies in various state government services. Approximately 4,000 candidates are expected to appear for the Main Examination.
The revised schedule follows a court order permitting the examination process to proceed after an earlier stay was lifted.
