BHOPAL: A student from Bhopal has secured All India Rank (AIR) 15 in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Intermediate examination, marking one of the top performances in the country.
The student, Ishan Mangal, attributed the achievement to consistent preparation, disciplined study habits and a structured approach to learning.
Mangal said he began planning for the examination soon after clearing the CA Foundation course, dividing his nine-month preparation period into different phases. He focused first on completing the syllabus before shifting to revision and practice, spending the final weeks exclusively revising previously studied material.
He identified taxation and auditing as the most challenging subjects, saying repeated study of tax provisions and the use of memory techniques helped him improve his understanding and retention.
Mangal balanced self-study with classroom instruction, studying for around nine to 10 hours a day and increasing the duration to about 12 hours daily in the month before the examination.
He also said he stayed away from social media platforms such as Instagram to maintain focus, while using WhatsApp and YouTube in moderation.
Offering advice to aspiring candidates, Mangal emphasised the importance of consistency and recommended relying on a limited number of study materials and mentors rather than consulting multiple sources.
He had previously scored 97.8% in his Class 12 examinations and secured a state rank in the CA Foundation examination.
