Krishna Gaur Starts Rs 98 Lakh Civic Projects in Bhopal

BHOPAL, July 27: Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur on Monday launched development works worth Rs 98 lakh in Govindpura’s Ward 64, saying that meeting public expectations and solving local issues remain the top priority of elected representatives.

Addressing residents during the foundation stone-laying programme, Gaur said the State Government is working to improve public services and strengthen basic infrastructure across urban areas. She added that development should directly benefit people and improve their daily lives.

The projects include a CC road worth Rs 43 lakh near Raja Medical Store in Ayodhya Extension Colony and another CC road worth Rs 33 lakh in the temple lane of Lake City Colony.

The Minister also laid the foundation stone for a cultural hall worth Rs 6 lakh at the Ardhanarishwar Shiv Temple premises in BHEL Nagar. In addition, an RCC drain worth Rs 10 lakh will be built near the C-3 Fitness Club in Manak Vihar, while another RCC drain worth Rs 6 lakh will be constructed near Hanuman Temple in JP Colony.

Speaking at the event, Gaur said development works should focus on addressing the everyday needs of residents. She said timely completion of public projects is essential to ensure that people receive the intended benefits without delay.

The Minister directed construction agencies and departmental officials to complete all approved works within the prescribed time frame while maintaining quality standards. She instructed officials to regularly monitor the projects so that construction is carried out according to approved specifications.

The civic works are expected to improve road connectivity, drainage facilities and community infrastructure in several residential areas of Govindpura.
