BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh government transferred Rs 203 crore in financial assistance to 9,149 beneficiaries under the 11th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Scheme 2.0.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav released the amount through a single-click transfer and addressed beneficiaries via video conference from the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal.
According to the state government, the assistance was provided to workers and their families in cases involving natural death, accidental death and disability. The beneficiaries included 8,027 cases of natural death, 1,034 cases of accidental death, 66 cases of partial permanent disability and 22 cases of permanent disability.
CM said the government remained committed to supporting workers and their families during financial difficulties.
The state government said the Sambal Scheme has benefited more than 18.4 million registered workers in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive financial assistance for funeral expenses, natural or accidental death and disability.
The government also provides financial support to eligible pregnant women registered under the scheme.
Officials said pending payments to beneficiaries were being cleared as part of efforts to ensure regular financial assistance under welfare programmes.
