Bhopal: India’s National Commission for Scheduled Tribes has reportedly sought a response from the Madhya Pradesh government over the demolition of 12 tribal homes in Kosmi village, Sehore district, on 11 October, according to media reports.
The commission has reportedly sought replies from senior state officials within three days, although the deadline could not be independently verified.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticised the action after meeting affected families, describing it as an injustice. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the government had sought a report and would investigate the matter.
Forest authorities reportedly said the structures were on forest land and that notices had been issued before the eviction. The circumstances surrounding the demolition remain under examination.
Congress leaders Jitu Patwari and Umang Singhar also criticised the action and called for justice for the affected families.
