Bhopal: Blood donation camps will be organised across 31 hospitals and blood centres in Bhopal district from September 17 to October 17 under the Seva Sankalp campaign.
The campaign will begin on September 17 at District Hospital Bhopal. In-house camps will be held at identified hospitals and blood centres, while outdoor camps will also be organised with support from various organisations.
The participating centres include District Hospital Bhopal, Bansal Hospital, AIIMS Bhopal, Gandhi Medical College and Hamidia Hospital, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, People’s Hospital and other blood centres across the district.
District administration and the health department have appealed to healthy and eligible citizens, young people, social organisations and voluntary groups to participate in the camps and donate blood voluntarily.
Officials said blood donation can help ensure timely availability of blood for patients in need.
Other health activities will also be held during the campaign. A health camp will be organised at the Primary Health Centre in Barkhedi Dev. At the Mukhyamantri Sanjeevani Clinic in Bheem Nagar, high-risk pregnant women will receive health check-ups, along with a god bharai programme. Children will also undergo health check-ups and receive necessary vaccinations.
