BHOPAL: Traffic police have announced temporary diversions on several routes in Bhopal on Wednesday in view of a Maharana Pratap Jayanti procession expected to attract a large gathering.
According to the traffic advisory, participants will assemble at 1250 Chauraha before proceeding through Vyapam Chauraha, Board Office Square and Jyoti Talkies Square for a tribute programme at the statue of Maharana Pratap.
To facilitate the movement of the procession and maintain smooth traffic flow, authorities have implemented diversions on key routes.
Vehicles travelling from Link Road-1 will be diverted via Vallabh Bhavan Rotary, Medan Mill Road, the Rachna Nagar underbridge and Subhash Nagar. Motorists heading from Chetak Bridge towards Jyoti Talkies will be redirected through the Rachna Nagar underbridge and Subhash Nagar.
Traffic police have urged commuters to use the alternative routes and cooperate with officials to help prevent congestion during the event.
The diversions will remain in effect during the procession and associated programme.
