Bhopal: Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra on Tuesday asked officials to complete short-term work at accident-prone black spots within one month.
Chairing a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee, Mr Mishra reviewed safety measures. A joint team will inspect all black spots in urban and rural areas. Officials must act quickly based on field reports.

The Collector said steps such as road markings, signage, speed breakers and zebra crossings must meet the deadline. He also stressed better lighting and visibility. Agencies must complete long-term works on time.
He asked the municipal corporation, traffic police and other agencies to carry out regular field visits. They must track progress closely and fix delays without lapse.
Focus On Emergency Response
The meeting also reviewed the Prime Minister’s Rahat Raahveer Scheme. Mr Mishra said accident victims must get free and quick medical help during the “golden hour”.
He asked all departments to stay alert and work together to ensure timely treatment.
Strict Enforcement Through Technology
The Collector also asked officials to strengthen enforcement through the Integrated Traffic Management System. Authorities will act against riding without helmets and using mobile phones while driving.
Senior officials, including Additional Police Commissioner Monica Shukla and Superintendent of Police (Rural) Pankaj Kumar Pandey, attended the meeting.
Officials said the steps aim to improve road safety and reduce accident risks across the district.
