INDORE: A 26-year-old man died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance at his home in Indore, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred in the city’s Naliya Bakhal area. Family members rushed the man to a hospital after his condition deteriorated, but he later died during treatment.
Investigators recovered a note from the scene in which the deceased allegedly referred to losses incurred through IPL betting and apologised to family members. Police said the contents of the note are being verified as part of the investigation.
Officials have seized the note and initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Family members said the deceased was employed by a private company. Police are recording statements and examining all aspects of the case.
The exact circumstances leading to the incident remain under investigation.
