MP’s e-Nagar Palika Portal Wins National e-Governance Award 2026

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh’s e-Nagar Palika Portal has received the National e-Governance Award 2026 in the cyber security category. The portal won the Silver Award for its strong cyber security measures and secure digital services for citizens.

The award was presented during the 29th National e-Governance Awards ceremony held in Jaipur. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, presented the award to Urban Development and Housing Commissioner Sanket Bhondve.

Commissioner Bhondve said the department has always given top priority to transparent, secure and reliable digital services. He said the recognition reflects the department’s continued focus on cyber security, risk management and data protection using global standards.

The e-Nagar Palika Portal supports digital services for urban local bodies across Madhya Pradesh. The department said the platform protects the personal and financial data of millions of citizens while ensuring transparent administration and a secure IT system.

According to the department, the national recognition highlights Madhya Pradesh’s efforts to make public services more accessible through digital technology without compromising data security. The portal has also set an example for other states by adopting high standards of digital governance and cyber security.

Bhondve credited the achievement to the combined efforts of the department’s technical and administrative teams. He said the department will continue improving its digital systems to provide citizens with secure, reliable and modern online services.
