The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Friday organised a ‘Sadbuddhi Yagya’, bhajan-kirtan and a day-long fast in Bhopal, demanding an impartial probe into alleged irregularities linked to donations collected for the Ram Mandir.
The protest was led by Madhya Pradesh Women’s Congress president Reena Borasi and attended by MP Congress president Jitu Patwari, former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, former minister P.C. Sharma, and other Congress leaders and workers.

During the programme, party workers offered prayers at the yagya, seeking “good sense” for the BJP leadership and demanding strict action if any irregularities in the Ram Mandir donation fund are established.
Addressing the gathering, Digvijaya Singh said he had personally contributed to the Ram Mandir and claimed that if any theft or irregularity in the donations is confirmed, he would file an FIR in Ayodhya through his lawyer.
Jitu Patwari said millions of devotees had contributed to the Ram Mandir with faith and devotion. If that trust had been violated, he said, the matter should be investigated impartially, the facts brought before the public, and those found responsible should face action.
Reena Borasi said Lord Ram is a symbol of faith for millions of people and alleged that any irregularity in donations collected in His name should be investigated transparently. She said accountability must be fixed if any wrongdoing is found.
After the protest, a Women’s Congress delegation submitted a memorandum at the concerned police station, demanding registration of an FIR against Champat Rai. The party said it would continue similar protests across Madhya Pradesh until an impartial investigation is conducted.
