Under instructions from Municipal Commissioner Sanskriti Jain, health officers penalize violators to enforce urban sanitation rules.
Municipal squads penalizing rule-breakers registered 84 cases near Rani Kamlapati Railway Station and nearby markets, collecting Rs 14,000 in spot fines. Penalties targeted public spitting, plastic use, construction waste dumping, and public property damage. Teams across Zones 13, 14, 15, and 16 collected fines while sanitation workers cleared garbage and open drains under the “Safai Apnao Bimari Bhagao” drive.

Simultaneously, the BMC anti-encroachment team resolved citizen complaints from the CM Helpline and municipal call centers. Teams removed temporary shanties, illegal tin sheds, and concrete slabs built over open drains in Bittan Market, MP Nagar, Hamidia Road, Bairagarh CTO, and Karond Square.
Squads demolished an illegal concrete column in Gandhi Nagar and cleared concrete platforms over drains in Nehru Nagar and Bhanpur. During the operation, officials seized 6 handcarts, 2 counters, 12 tables, 3 iron cages, and various display boards to free up public footpaths.
