BHOPAL : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Mantralaya on Tuesday, approving nearly Rs 1.46 lakh crore for major welfare and development schemes.
The Cabinet approved the formation of the Nirmal Evam Aviral Maa Narmada (NAMAN) Mission for conservation, rejuvenation and sustainable management of the Narmada River. The mission will use AI, GIS, remote sensing, data analytics and climate modelling to assess river health.
The Cabinet approved Rs 1,14,365 crore for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana for 2026-27 to 2030-31. The scheme currently benefits around 1.27 crore women, who receive Rs 1,500 per month through direct benefit transfers.
A further Rs 16,326.47 crore was approved for the Madhya Pradesh Ladli Laxmi Yojana, while Rs 2,137.65 crore was sanctioned for the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
The Cabinet also approved Rs 11,835.35 crore to strengthen healthcare services, including health centres, hospitals, infrastructure and incentives for ASHA workers.
For agriculture, Rs 870.16 crore was approved for education, research and infrastructure. Another Rs 734 crore was sanctioned to promote scientific research, innovation and technological capacity.
The Cabinet also approved 35 new posts in the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, taking its sanctioned strength to 323 posts.
