Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has urged young professionals to help improve the implementation of government welfare schemes and development programmes across the state.
Addressing the inaugural session of a five-day training programme for fellows under the Chief Minister Young Professionals for Development Programme in Bhopal on Wednesday, the CM said they would help identify gaps in scheme implementation and recommend improvements.
The selected fellows represent all 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Their responsibilities include assessing the implementation of Central and state government schemes and studying the functioning of administrative institutions.
The CM urged the fellows to work closely with district officials, gram panchayats and elected representatives to understand local challenges and help ensure that welfare benefits reach eligible people. He said they should view their responsibilities as an opportunity to contribute to the state’s development rather than merely as a job.
2027 to be Year of Youth
The CM said the state government had designated 2025 as the year of employment and investment, 2026 as the year of farmers’ welfare, and 2027 as the Year of Youth. He said initiatives would be organised throughout the coming year to encourage youth development and participation.
He advised the fellows to focus on time management, self-confidence, humility and effective communication. He also stressed the importance of practical experience and adapting to changing circumstances while working at the grassroots level.
The training programme at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis will cover data analysis, district administration and governance systems.
Sessions will focus on departments including tribal welfare, public health, women and child development, revenue, agriculture, and panchayat and rural development. Senior state officials and experts from other states will contribute to the training.
An MoU was also signed between the Global Village Foundation and the Good Governance Institute during the event.
