Mayor Malti Rai directs officials to complete the sports complex at Arera Colony school with quality standards and without delay
BHOPAL, July 27: Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai on Monday inspected the under-construction sports complex at Government Naveen Higher Secondary School in Arera Colony and directed officials to complete all pending work at the earliest while maintaining quality standards.
The inspection was carried out at the Government Naveen Higher Secondary School campus in Ward No. 45, where the sports complex is being developed to improve sports facilities for students.
During the visit, the Mayor reviewed the progress of the project and received a detailed briefing from officials on the construction plan and the current status of the work. She instructed the engineering team to ensure that every stage of the project meets the required quality standards and is completed within the planned timeline.
Malti Rai said the sports complex would provide better sports infrastructure for students and help promote outdoor activities and physical fitness. She stressed that public infrastructure projects should be completed on time so that residents and students can benefit without unnecessary delays.
The Mayor also reviewed the ongoing construction work inside the school campus and asked officials to regularly monitor the project to maintain both quality and speed.
Members of the Mayor-in-Council, senior officials and local public representatives were present during the inspection. Mayor-in-Council member Sushma Bawisa, local councillor Shikha Gohal and Executive Engineer Anil Tatwade accompanied the Mayor during the visit.
The civic body is developing the sports complex as part of its efforts to strengthen sports infrastructure in government schools and encourage greater participation in sports among young students.
