RAJGARH: An environmental activist known as Bittu Tabahi has reportedly said that one of the two dustbins he placed along the Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district has gone missing.
According to media reports, 20-year-old Surendra Singh Choudhary, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, installed the bins along the riverbank to encourage people to dispose of waste responsibly after carrying out cleanup drives.
In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, the activist highlighted the accumulation of plastic bags and other waste along the riverbanks despite his cleanup efforts.
He said the bins had been placed to discourage people from throwing rubbish directly into the river. However, he found only one bin when he returned to the site, according to the reports.
In the caption accompanying the video, he said the containers placed for public convenience had also been taken.
The latest development follows another video shared by the activist earlier in the week, in which he reportedly expressed concern over waste accumulating along the river again after months of cleanup work.
The incident has prompted reactions on social media, with users calling for stricter action against littering and better protection of public facilities.
