AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has announced that he will visit Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on July 16 at 5 pm to extend his support to activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike as part of an ongoing protest.
In a post on X, Kejriwal said the protest has been continuing at Jantar Mantar for several days and that his party supports the demands raised by the protesters. He also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Kejriwal appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, describing him as “the country’s heritage”. He said he would personally visit the protest site on July 16 to express his support.

The protest has drawn attention from political leaders and civil society groups. Wangchuk’s hunger strike has continued for several days, with supporters demanding action on the issues raised by the campaign.
There has been no immediate response from the Union Education Ministry to Kejriwal’s remarks.
