BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh is seeking to position itself as India’s “next-generation technology hub” through policies focused on emerging sectors, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said on Tuesday.
In a statement, CM said the state was aiming to strengthen its role in India’s digital and technology economy through policies related to Global Capability Centres (GCCs), artificial intelligence, semiconductors, drones, SpaceTech and AVGC-XR.
He said the initiatives were intended to attract investment and create opportunities in employment, innovation and skill development.
According to the chief minister, Madhya Pradesh introduced a GCC Policy in 2025 to encourage multinational companies to establish technology, analytics and research centres in the state. Incentives including capital subsidies, land rebates and payroll support are being offered, while IT infrastructure is being expanded in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
CM said the state was also promoting semiconductor manufacturing, drone technology and AI-based governance through dedicated sectoral policies and training programmes.
The state government said more than 35 technology investment proposals worth over Rs 18,000 crore are currently under process. The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation has been designated as the nodal agency for implementation of the policies.
