Storm Damage Cleared Across Indore

INDORE: The Indore Municipal Corporation has placed its emergency response teams on alert after a strong dust storm uprooted trees and large branches across the city, affecting around 150 locations, according to media reports.

Municipal teams continued clearance operations on Tuesday, removing fallen trees and branches from roads and public spaces a day after the storm disrupted normal movement in several areas of the city.

According to media reports, the weather changed suddenly on Monday. Clear skies in the morning gave way to strong winds and a dust storm, resulting in trees and large branches falling at multiple locations.

Officials said response teams were deployed immediately after reports of damage were received. While many obstructions were cleared on Monday to restore traffic movement, work to remove remaining debris continued on Tuesday.

The civic body has instructed its teams to remain on standby and respond promptly to complaints received during the day or night as weather conditions remain unpredictable.

Officials from the horticulture department said reports were received from nearly 150 locations where trees or large branches had fallen. Some vehicles were damaged, but no casualties were reported.

The civic body said monitoring and clearance operations will continue and emergency teams will remain ready to respond to any further weather-related incidents.
