The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board has opened online applications for 2,784 Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) posts in the state Agriculture Department. Candidates can apply until July 17, while the recruitment examination will begin on Aug. 2.
Applicants must complete the online application process within the deadline. They can also edit their forms between July 3 and July 22 through the correction window.
The recruitment offers 1,126 unreserved posts, 444 for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 316 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 122 for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 776 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). The board will implement the state’s reservation policy. However, OBC reservation will remain subject to the final outcome of court proceedings.
The application fee is Rs 500 for candidates in the general category. Applicants from Madhya Pradesh belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, EWS and Persons with Disabilities categories must pay Rs 250. Candidates applying for backlog vacancies do not have to pay any fee.
Meanwhile, the board will conduct the examination in two shifts on Aug. 2. Candidates must report to their examination centres on time because officials will not allow late entry.
The board has made Aadhaar-based identity verification mandatory. In addition, candidates must carry their admit card and a valid photo identity document. They cannot bring mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators or any other electronic devices into the examination centre.
The notification also sets eligibility conditions. Applicants with more than two children born on or after Jan. 26, 2001, cannot apply. Furthermore, candidates must meet the prescribed conditions on the legal age of marriage. Men convicted of offences against women are also ineligible for the recruitment.
