UJJAIN: Former Joint Director of the Public Relations Department Tahir Ali has been conferred with the 13th Vinay Ujala Rashtriya Gaurav Samman 2026 for his outstanding contributions to public relations, media management, and social service.
Veteran film actress Padmini Kolhapure presented the award and official citation during a ceremony held in Ujjain to celebrate achievers across 12 distinct disciplines.
Media adviser to Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, the veteran administrator built a long career facilitating coordination between the state government and news organisations. His tenure was marked by efforts to ensure public access to government policies, welfare schemes, and official announcements.
Following his retirement from public service, the former officer has remained active across media management, education, and community initiatives.
Addressing the gathering upon receiving the award, the seasoned communications professional highlighted the social importance of his field. “Public relations is not merely a tool for exchanging information; it serves as a bridge of trust between the government and society,” he said, expressing gratitude to former colleagues, well-wishers, and the organising committee.
Member of Parliament Anil Firojiya and Vinay Ujala Managing Director Dr V.K. Mishra were among the key dignitaries present at the event, where honours were also conferred upon individuals for achievements in administration, sports, environmental protection, and higher education.
