MP to tighten monitoring of skill training programmes: Gautam Tetwal

The Madhya Pradesh government will tighten monitoring of skill training programmes to improve job opportunities for young people, Skill Development and Employment Minister Gautam Tetwal said on Wednesday.

Tetwal spoke at a review meeting and the “Kaushalam Samvad” programme at the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park in Bhopal.

He said the government now links training courses with industry demand to help young people secure better jobs.

“Providing quality training and better employment opportunities to youth is the government’s priority,” Tetwal said.

Govt plans monthly reviews

Officials reviewed ongoing schemes and construction projects during the meeting.

Tetwal asked the department to create a monitoring team for construction work. He said officials would review progress every month.

He also directed teams to prepare a standard operating procedure (SOP) for inspections and submit monthly field reports.

Tetwal warned agencies against delays in construction work. He said the government would take strict action against negligence.

Trainees share placement success

ITI trainers, trainees and former students from across the state joined the programme virtually and shared their experiences.

Officials highlighted courses with full placement records, drone technology training and programmes linked to overseas jobs.

MP Online and SSR Global Skills Park also signed an MoU to support technical, digital and skill development initiatives.

The department released the ITI Admission Prospectus 2026 and launched an admissions campaign.

Participants showcased innovation-led projects, including a patent-backed “Wearable Electrical Safety Monitoring Device”.

The programme also included an online interaction with the Driving Training Institute in Indore.

Rs 12 lakh package among major highlights

Varshashwani Pathak, a trainee from SSR Global Skill Park, secured a placement at Trident Group in Budhni with an annual package of Rs 12 lakh.

Tetwal called the placement a major achievement for the institute. He said it reflected the growing technical skills and confidence of young women in the state.

The minister also said six trainees secured placements at Dubai-based TTE Engineering.

Five trainees came from the Advanced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade, while one trainee belonged to the Advanced Mechanical and Electrical Services trade.

“Youth from Madhya Pradesh are building a strong identity at national and global levels through technical skills and professional excellence,” Tetwal said.

He urged selected trainees to stay connected with their institutions and guide other young people towards skill development and employment opportunities.
