Bhopal, May 18: Mohan Yadav board officials training programme started in Bhopal on Monday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav asked newly appointed office-bearers of corporations, boards and commissions to work with discipline, transparency and better coordination. He said officials should focus on public welfare and deliver visible results.

The Chief Minister addressed the inaugural session of the orientation and training programme at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. He said politics and administration should work for public welfare. Referring to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said ethics and integrity were essential in public life.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of BJP state in-charge Mahendra Singh, senior MLA Hemant Khandelwal and institute vice-chairman Rajiv Dixit.

Mohan Yadav board officials told to ensure financial discipline

CM Yadav congratulated the newly appointed chairpersons, vice-chairpersons and members. He said public service was the government’s top priority. He asked office-bearers to understand their responsibilities properly and study departmental rules carefully.

He also asked officials to use available resources effectively. According to him, the public image of the government depends on the performance of these institutions.

The Chief Minister described financial management as a major challenge. He stressed the need to control unnecessary spending and create new sources of revenue through innovation. He also asked officials to maintain self-discipline and regularly monitor institutional work.

CM Yadav said transparency, teamwork and efficiency should remain the focus of corporations, boards and commissions. He added that the dream of an “Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh” would remain incomplete unless welfare schemes reached needy people.

Mohan Yadav board officials urged to adopt digital governance

The Chief Minister said technology had become an important part of governance. He stressed the need for digital governance, data-based decision-making and technology-driven monitoring.

He directed office-bearers to increase the use of digital systems in their departments. He also encouraged them to use social media to share government achievements and welfare initiatives.

CM Yadav repeated that the state government follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and misconduct. He warned officials against any irregularity in institutions. He also advised them to stay away from activities that could harm their public image.

The Chief Minister asked office-bearers to support campaigns related to de-addiction, cleanliness, environmental protection, women empowerment, child welfare and social harmony.

Politics should remain a mission, says BJP leaders

Senior BJP leader Hemant Khandelwal said Madhya Pradesh was moving ahead under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged office-bearers to use their authority only in public interest. He also asked them to follow the Prime Minister’s message on austerity and responsible governance.

State BJP in-charge Mahendra Singh said the government was working continuously to make Madhya Pradesh one of the leading states in the country. Referring to the ideology of Deendayal Upadhyaya, he said politics should be treated as a mission and not a profession.

He added that the performance of all newly appointed office-bearers would be monitored regularly.

At the beginning of the programme, Rajiv Dixit welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a Tulsi sapling. Newly appointed office-bearers of boards, corporations, commissions and authorities attended the training session.
