UJJAIN: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal attended the Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Friday and offered prayers at the shrine.
Chahal arrived at the temple in the early hours and participated in the pre-dawn ritual from the Nandi Hall. He later performed traditional prayers and sought blessings.
Temple authorities welcomed and honoured the cricketer following the visit.
Speaking after the darshan, Chahal said the experience was difficult to describe in words and expressed his desire to return to the temple in the future.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of Hinduism’s 12 Jyotirlinga shrines, is a major pilgrimage centre and is known for its daily Bhasma Aarti, which draws devotees from across the country.
