BHOPAL: Fuel prices at Nyara petrol pumps across Madhya Pradesh have been brought in line with those at nearby government-owned oil company (PSU) fuel stations. Petrol prices have been reduced by about Rs 2 per litre and diesel by about Rs 3 per litre, removing the earlier price difference.
Until now, fuel at Nyara outlets was priced higher than at PSU petrol pumps. Under the revised pricing, customers will now pay the same rates as those charged at the nearest government fuel station.
The dealers’ association said fuel prices at each Nyara outlet will match those of the nearest PSU petrol pump. However, prices may still vary slightly from one area to another because of transportation costs.
The association also said reports claiming that Nyara has announced an additional cut in petrol and diesel prices are misleading. It clarified that the company has not offered any fresh discount. Instead, it has only removed the earlier price gap with government-owned oil companies.
The change means customers will no longer pay higher prices for petrol or diesel at Nyara petrol pumps compared with nearby PSU outlets. The revised rates have already come into effect across the state.
