Bhopal district health committee reviews schemes, pushes PM Relief Scheme awareness

The District Health Committee on Friday reviewed ongoing health and nutrition programmes in the district and directed officials to increase awareness about the PM Relief Scheme in hospitals and healthcare centres.

The Bhopal district health committee meeting was held at the collectorate office under the guidance of Collector Priyank Mishra. Chief Executive Officer of Zila Panchayat Ila Tiwari chaired the meeting.

Officials from the Health Department and Women and Child Development Department attended the review meeting, including Chief Medical and Health Officer Manish Sharma and nodal officers associated with various public welfare programmes.

During the meeting, Ila Tiwari instructed officials to ensure wider publicity of the PM Relief Scheme so that more eligible patients can benefit from it. She also directed the Health Department and Women and Child Development Department to conduct joint field visits and coordinated action to ensure 100 per cent delivery of health and nutrition services.

Officials reviewed several public health programmes operating in the district, including maternal healthcare, nutrition services and tuberculosis screening initiatives.

Officials instructed to strengthen TB screening and maternal health services

Chief Medical and Health Officer Manish Sharma directed staff to ensure attendance through the Sarthak app and focus on key deliverables under departmental programmes.

He also instructed officials to complete 100 per cent screening of vulnerable populations under the ongoing 100-day TB screening campaign and ensure timely portal entries. Officials were further directed to conduct triple testing for every pregnant woman as part of maternal healthcare monitoring.

The Women and Child Development Department also shared updates regarding the Poshan Tracker portal, Aadhaar-based face authentication for take-home ration distribution and the implementation of hot cooked meal services.

Officials said the review meeting aimed to improve coordination between departments and strengthen public health delivery systems across Bhopal district.
