Fire Breaks Out at Three Locations in Indore

Indore: A fire gutted an office at Belmont Park in the Lasudia area on Wednesday morning, destroying documents and office equipment. No casualties were reported.

The blaze broke out in the maintenance office of the township, which also houses a builder’s office. A security guard noticed smoke around 5 am, following which local residents attempted to control the fire but failed. Fire tenders later reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. Important documents were also destroyed in the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

In a separate incident on Khandwa Road, a fire broke out at a vegetable shop in Anuradha Nagar in the early hours of Wednesday. The shop was completely gutted. About 1,000 litres of water were used to douse the flames. Preliminary findings suggest a short circuit may have triggered the fire.

In another incident near Radisson Chowk, a fire broke out on the seventh floor of the Mahidpurwala Furniture building around 10.30 am. Firefighters reached the spot within 15 minutes and brought the blaze under control with the help of staff. Heavy smoke filled the building, though no injuries were reported. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire. Police also reached the site.
