INDORE: The family of Raja Raghuvanshi has again demanded a CBI investigation into his murder case. They say the case needs a deeper and independent probe.
According to media reports, Raja Raghuvanshi, a transport businessman from Indore, travelled to Shillong with his wife for their honeymoon. Police allege that she and her associates killed him during the trip. Investigators later recovered his body from a gorge.
Police arrested all the accused in the case. However, the prime accused is now out on bail.
A family member said the government should hand the case to the CBI. He argued that the case gained national attention and involves more than one state. He also expressed concern that evidence could be affected while a key accused remains out on bail.
The family believes a CBI probe would help uncover the full truth. They also said it could ensure a fair and thorough investigation.
The family questioned why authorities have not ordered a CBI inquiry despite the case’s high profile. They said they are still waiting for justice and urged the state government to act.
So far, authorities have not announced any decision on a CBI investigation.
