JAIPUR: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was allegedly assaulted before addressing a protest gathering in Jaipur on Monday.
Videos circulating on social media showed Dipke being slapped several times and pulled by his scarf while making his way to the stage at Shaheed Smarak. He was being carried on the shoulders of supporters when the incident occurred.

The disruption took place shortly before he was due to address a gathering organised by the party.
The CJP recently launched a nationwide protest campaign that began with a student gathering in New Delhi and later expanded to several cities across India. The movement has focused on alleged examination irregularities and youth-related issues.
Dipke said the campaign would continue to expand and warned of further demonstrations if demands for accountability over examination-related controversies were not addressed.
The organisation, which emerged earlier this year, has gained a substantial online following by adopting the term “cockroach” as a symbol of protest.
No arrests were immediately reported in connection with the incident.
