BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday transferred 29 IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle, appointing new divisional commissioners for Bhopal and Rewa and making changes in several key departments.
As part of the reshuffle, the government appointed a new principal secretary for the Jails Department and made changes in the Energy, Cooperation, Tribal Welfare, Health and Education departments.
A new commissioner-cum-registrar of cooperative societies was appointed, while additional responsibilities in renewable energy and social justice-related departments were assigned to senior officers.
The government also named a new director of public health and family welfare and made fresh appointments in the school education and tribal affairs departments.
Several senior officers were given additional responsibilities in agriculture, environment, scheduled caste welfare and institutional finance as part of the administrative overhaul.
