BHOPAL/INDORE: Several candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 examination in Madhya Pradesh encountered last-minute difficulties after arriving without required documents or reporting to incorrect examination centres.
In Indore, a candidate discovered during document verification that a required identity document was not available. With the reporting deadline approaching, police personnel assisted the candidate in contacting family members and obtaining the necessary details, enabling entry to the examination centre.
Officials said some candidates also reached venues other than those listed on their admit cards. They were guided to their designated centres before the entry deadline.
In another instance, a candidate and a parent initially arrived at an incorrect location after following a navigation route. After identifying the error, they travelled to the designated centre and arrived before entry closed.
Police officers deployed on examination duty also assisted candidates who required directions to their allotted venues or were unfamiliar with local routes.
In Bhopal, a candidate arrived at an examination centre without an original identity document. After obtaining the required document, the candidate was allowed to enter the centre and appear for the examination.
Another candidate was unable to take the examination after reaching a venue different from the one mentioned on the admit card and not arriving at the designated centre within the prescribed reporting time.
The incidents highlighted the importance of verifying examination centre details and carrying all required original documents before reporting for competitive examinations.
