PM SVANidhi fortnight has launched across Madhya Pradesh to connect urban street vendors with direct loans and digital payment benefits.
PM SVANidhi fortnight started across Madhya Pradesh on August 1 to help street vendors access easy bank loans and UPI credit cards.
The Urban Development and Housing Department of Madhya Pradesh started a special state-wide drive called PM SVANidhi Fortnight on August 1, 2026. The campaign will run until August 15 across all districts, urban bodies, and census towns.
The main theme for this drive is “SVANidhi se Samriddhi: Aatmanirbhar Urban Madhya Pradesh.”
Key targets for the 15-day drive
State officials aim to reach every eligible street vendor through special camps and direct coordination with local bank teams. The core goals include:
20 lakh new applications: Gathering fresh requests from eligible street vendors.
2 lakh rejected cases: Reviewing and reprocessing previously rejected loan applications.
Special bank meetings: Holding District Level Bankers Committee (DLBC) and Block Level Bankers Committee (BLBC) meets for quick clearances.
Housing scheme integration: Connecting beneficiaries with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (BLC) program.

Loan amounts and digital benefits
The scheme provides financial support in three clear stages to help vendors expand their small businesses:
- First stage loan: Up to Rs 15,000
- Second stage loan: Up to Rs 25,000
- Third stage loan: Up to Rs 50,000
Vendors also receive UPI-linked credit cards with limits up to Rs 30,000. Over 7.17 lakh street vendors in the state actively use digital payment methods and have earned more than Rs 53.85 crore in cashbacks so far.
Madhya Pradesh leads nationally
Madhya Pradesh remains one of the top-performing states in executing the PM SVANidhi scheme.
State records show that over 10.30 lakh street vendors have received benefits. The state has disbursed more than Rs 2,802.84 crore through 16.35 lakh loan accounts. Women make up 40 percent of total beneficiaries.
Indore Municipal Corporation leads the country by distributing 41,122 loan cases. Other top-performing municipal bodies in the state include Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain, and Sarni.
