PUNE: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday reviewed the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 150th course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) at Khadakwasla, marking the commissioning of 355 cadets into the Indian Armed Forces.
The parade was held at the Khetarpal Parade Ground, where cadets of the Army, Navy and Air Force marched in precise formation, reflecting discipline, coordination and military training as they prepared to join their respective services.

The ceremony held special significance as General Dwivedi, an alumnus of the NDA’s 65th course, returned to his alma mater as the reviewing officer. He trained at Charlie Squadron during his cadet days before rising to become the Chief of the Army Staff.
His return was seen as an inspiration for the graduating cadets, highlighting the NDA’s long-standing role in shaping leadership across the armed forces.
Among the cadets, Battalion Cadet Captain Sushant Varma of ‘P’ Squadron, who topped the Social Science stream, said the NDA environment helped him strengthen his academic foundation. J Squadron cadet Ranvijay Tyagi, who topped Computer Science, credited his success to parental support and guidance from seniors.

The Full Dress Rehearsal Parade, held on May 28, was reviewed by NDA Commandant Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi. The event featured a flypast by Su-30MKI fighter jets, Chetak helicopters, the Sarang aerobatic team and the Akashganga skydiving team, showcasing operational coordination and capability of the armed forces.
