INDORE: Crime Branch officers in Indore arrested 31 people after raiding an alleged gambling den in the city’s Lasudia area and seized around Rs 150,000 in cash, police said.
The operation was carried out in Mahalaxmi Nagar following a tip-off that a form of local gambling known as “ghodi” was being conducted at a house owned by a man identified as Parag.
Police said a Crime Branch team raided the property and detained 31 people who were allegedly involved in the gambling activity. Cash amounting to approximately Rs 150,000 was recovered from the premises.
The alleged organiser, Parag, fled before officers arrived and remains at large. Police have launched a search operation to trace and arrest him.
All those detained were taken to a local police station, where further legal action is being taken. Authorities said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
