Shahdol: Kanishk Dubey, a resident of Shahdol, has made his Bollywood debut with the release of his first film Rajni Ki Baraat, which hit theatres across the country on Friday. Dubey plays the lead role in the film.
Dubey had moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and spent several years struggling to establish himself in the industry. Through continuous training, persistence and dedication, he eventually secured his first major role in Bollywood.
The film also features noted lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar in a prominent role. The trailer and promotional campaign of the film received a favourable response from audiences ahead of its release.
Dubey’s debut has generated excitement in Shahdol and surrounding areas, with local residents describing his achievement as a source of inspiration for young people from smaller towns aspiring to enter the entertainment industry.
