BHOPAL: The Bhopal district administration will launch a special drive against illegal colonies, Collector Priyank Mishra said on Thursday.
He chaired a review meeting of revenue officials at the Collectorate. During the meeting, Mishra asked officials to clear all pending land allotment and occupancy rights cases within a month. He also directed revenue courts to speed up the disposal of old cases through a special campaign.
Mishra ordered strict action against illegal colonies across the district. He asked officials to verify complaints related to both authorised and unauthorised colonies before submitting reports.
He directed the colony cell to work closely with the municipal corporation and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) for action in their respective areas.
The Collector also reviewed mutation, partition and demarcation cases. He examined matters registered on the Revenue Case Management System (RCMS) and Lok Seva Management portals.
He instructed officials to resolve all demarcation cases pending for more than three months within the next month.
Mishra directed officials to ensure full recovery of land revenue, mineral revenue and other government dues.
He also stressed the need to correct maps, update revenue records and fix errors in land documents. According to him, these steps will help reduce land disputes.
The Collector expressed dissatisfaction over the slow disposal of complaints received through the CM Helpline, Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS), public hearings and CS monitoring cases.
He instructed officials to resolve public grievances on time and maintain quality in complaint handling. He said quick resolution of complaints remained the administration’s top priority.
All Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) and SDMs were asked to prepare rosters for regular inspection of tehsildar courts. They were also directed to monitor compliance with court orders and ensure implementation of pending orders within a month.
With the monsoon approaching, Mishra directed officials to inspect encroachments, fire safety arrangements, firecracker shops and warehouses regularly.
He also instructed departments linked to disaster management to hold section-level review meetings.
